Who we are
Crypto Florida (crypto-florida.com) is an independent informational website about cryptocurrency in Florida. We are not a bank, exchange, broker-dealer, money transmitter, kiosk operator, investment adviser, law firm or tax firm. We do not offer accounts, custody funds or process payments.
Contact: contact@crypto-florida.com.
What we do not collect
Because it is the more useful list, it goes first.
- We have no user accounts, no logins and no registration.
- We do not ask for, receive or store wallet addresses, recovery phrases, private keys, passwords or payment details. Nobody legitimate ever needs these, us included.
- We do not ask for government identification documents.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not run a newsletter that requires you to hand over an email address to read our content.
If anyone claiming to represent Crypto Florida asks you for a recovery phrase, a private key, a password, remote access to your device, or a payment of any kind, it is not us. We will never contact you first about your crypto, and we have nothing to sell you directly.
What is collected when you visit
Like essentially every website, our hosting infrastructure processes basic technical information in order to serve pages and keep the site available. That typically includes your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, your browser type and the referring page.
This is standard server-log activity, used for delivering the site, diagnosing faults and understanding aggregate traffic patterns. We do not use it to build individual profiles.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful — how many people read a page, roughly where in the world they are, and which links they follow. Where analytics are used, they are configured for aggregate reporting rather than individual tracking.
Cookies
The site is built as static pages and does not require cookies to function. We do not use cookies to serve targeted advertising. Any cookie set by an analytics provider is limited to measurement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time without losing access to any content here.
Fonts
We load a display typeface from Google Fonts. That request goes to Google's servers and is subject to Google's own privacy practices. No other third-party assets are loaded on our pages.
Affiliate and outbound links
Some outbound links to exchanges and other services are commercial partnerships, and we may be paid if you open an account. Practically, this means:
- Clicking such a link may pass a referral identifier to the destination site, so the partner can attribute the visit.
- Once you leave crypto-florida.com, the destination site's privacy policy governs, not ours. We have no visibility into or control over what they collect.
- We do not receive your personal information from partners. We may receive aggregate reporting about referrals.
- All external links on this site are nofollow.
How this affects what we publish is set out in our editorial policy and rating method.
Email you send us
If you email contact@crypto-florida.com, we hold that message in order to reply and, where you have sent a correction, to act on it. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not share your message with commercial partners, and we do not use it for marketing.
Please do not send us sensitive personal information, financial account details, or anything about your crypto holdings that you would not want in an email. If you are reporting fraud, the people who can actually act are law enforcement — see our contact page for the reporting routes.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and licensed US crypto exchanges require account holders to be eighteen. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information a website holds about you. Because we do not operate accounts and do not build user profiles, in most cases we hold no personal information about you beyond routine server logs and any email you have chosen to send us.
If you would like to know what we hold, or would like us to delete an email exchange, write to contact@crypto-florida.com and we will deal with it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because we hold no accounts, no funds and no financial data, the attack surface is deliberately small — there is nothing here for anyone to steal from you.
Your own security matters far more than ours, and our wallet guide and scam guide cover it properly: an authenticator app rather than SMS, a carrier port-out PIN, withdrawal address allow-listing, and never sharing a recovery phrase with anyone for any reason.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change, and the date at the top will change with it. This version was last reviewed August 2026.
