Corrections Most welcome
A fee that has changed, a licence that has lapsed, a corridor we have mispriced, a legal point we have summarised badly, a broken link. Please include the page URL and, where possible, a source. We fix errors and note material changes.
Industry input
If you work in this field in Florida — kiosk operations, exchange compliance, a CPA practice, a law firm, law enforcement — we would genuinely like to hear from you. Corrections from people who know more than us are the cheapest quality improvement available.
General questions
Questions about how something on the site works, what a rule means, or where to find a source. We answer what we can, though see the limits below.
Partnership and commercial
We do work with commercial partners, and our editorial policy and rating method set out exactly what that does and does not buy. It does not buy a ranking.
What we cannot help with
- Personalised financial advice. We are not investment advisers and cannot tell you what or how much to buy.
- Legal or tax advice on your situation. We explain what statutes and IRS guidance say. For your circumstances, use a Florida attorney or CPA.
- Account problems with an exchange, kiosk or wallet. We have no access to any platform's systems. Contact the operator directly — and be aware that anyone contacting you offering to help with an account is attacking it.
- Recovering stolen crypto. We cannot trace or recover funds. Report to law enforcement, and never pay anyone who offers recovery for an upfront fee — that is a second scam.
- Price predictions. Nobody can do this, including people who charge for it.
If you have been defrauded
Please report it to the people who can actually act, and do it quickly — recovery odds fall sharply with delay.
- Stop all contact with the caller, platform or "adviser". Make no further payments, including any "fee to release funds".
- Report to law enforcement. Your local police or sheriff's office, and FBI IC3 at ic3.gov. Get a report number.
- Report to the Florida Attorney General. The Cyber Fraud Enforcement Unit traces and recovers digital assets — $5.4 million in a single case announced in April 2026.
- Notify the operator in writing if a kiosk was involved. From 1 January 2027 this is a precondition of the statutory refund right, and it must happen within 60 days.
- Contact your bank immediately if funds moved from an account.
- Preserve everything — receipts, transaction hashes, wallet addresses, screenshots, call logs.
